Final model montage
Indiana avenue has long been in need of an uplift. Once a thriving cultural node, it now lies baron in a sea of parking lots. The need for new housing in Indianapolis has risen recently and an influx of residents in this area provides a potential for revitalization of Indiana avenue.
The proposed housing addition provides forty five new units at varying square footages. The single loaded structure offers each unit with a south facing balcony overlooking downtown. Each balcony has moveable wood slat screens providing shading options throughout the day and season. The smaller square foot units have a glass enclosed shell on the balcony to allow the interior to be opened to the balcony providing extra square footage when desired.
